Totally unrelated to the photos, when I was in grade school I was in a school spelling bee. I don’t remember which grade I was in, but I was pretty good at spelling, I thought. The word that got me knocked out of the competition was, squirrel. Grrr.
Also, thank you for all the well wishes for my son! Tomorrow, 7/21, is the surgery day. He’s not nervous and I’m trying to keep myself busy today!
These little red squirrels love our apples and also the apple tree seems to be a favorite spot for them to have afternoon naps!

I bet that will be your son tomorrow – lounging around with cheeks puffed out to HERE. I had two of my wisdom teeth removed the same way when I was in college and it took me about 3 days to recover. Stock up on ice and pudding and ice cream! He’s in good hands.

Best to you son on his surgery! It’s always a stressful thing for a mom to see their child “put under.” I know it will go well. And that is one cute squirrel. Will be thinking of you Gayle!
