You made me think of my dog, Lans. My pet dog died in a city flood when I was about six years old. He was a full-blooded collie. He was so big and sweet.

I try not to talk about him because it was traumatic for me. But, he was such a loving and sweet friend. He used to push his body up against us in the direction he wanted to go in and that was usually in the kitchen for treats.... What a memory...

Hi Kim!
Awww, that is sweet. I think a dog is even more special for only children like us! Thank you! My daughter is feeling better each day! Yay!

I'm an only child that talked to my dog everyday when I was a little. He always listened to all my problems and was nice to hug. Dogs are amazing! We have two Shar-peis now, and they are wonderful!

I really enjoyed your post with the beautiful photos!

I hope your daughter is feeling better and better!

Hi mrs. e!
Thank you!

Hi Puna!
Your post is so sad. I'm glad that you feel comforted for sharing it with us. Thank you.

Hi Angela!
Yes! I loved that pretend kitchen! It is so hard when you have a fear of dogs. I'm glad you got over it!

Hi spread your wings!
Awww, T must have been so excited to get a bunny on Easter! I'm looking forward to your post!

Hi Shannon!
I would love to see photos of your little black puppy!

Hi Lailani!
Heehee, maybe you can think up some other reason for wanting them!

Hi elk!
It's okay that you forgot. I'm just worried that one week I will forget! That would be embarrassing!

Hi Shalet!
As a veterinarian, you must see a lot of people's joy and heartbreak over their pets. I love the photo of you and your pooch!

Hi Maya!
I am lucky to have these photos. My mom gave some of them to me before she died and then my dad gave the rest to me after she died. As I'm sure you can tell, we love guinea pigs! My daughter's guinea pig was a wonderful, sweet pet.

People love their pets ... I witness the love every day. To cry is human; to cry as adult is a beautiful expression of love.

I'm sending you to my flickr page today to see a photo of my childhood companion. I still love him!

Happy Monday!
