Gardening Books

It’s cold outside, a rain and snow mix is forecast for tomorrow.  My husband has almost no work on his schedule.  So far we’re not planning a summer vacation, our pool is still a crumbling mess.  But, I have my old gardening books! I had a tiny little vegetable garden last year.  I would like to expand it this year and grow a little bit more.  I would also like to learn how to can vegetables.  My planning begins today!  I got these old gardening books out and left them on the coffee table in the living room this morning before I took my shower.  When I got out of the shower the first thing my youngest son said to me was, “We need to get some 2 year old asparagus roots.”  Even before he said good morning!  Another planner!

What are your plans?  For today, for tomorrow, for spring.

    Hi ELK!

Those are very exciting plans! They also sound a little scary to me. How does it feel?

I’m not a big gardening person, but I always thought a small vegetable bed would be great…, especially for tomatoes. They’re super delicious self grown. I’m still recovering from our remodel so I’m not sure whether it’s going to happen this year.

    Hy Maya!

I think tomatoes are my favorite thing to get fresh from our home garden. They are so much better than the ones from the store!
