I like #1 the best. My mom has a rug - off white with blue checkers and red apples on it. They also have a dog, and the dog sleeps in the room where the rug is, so the dog spends quite a bit of time lying/walking on the rug. She decided to have it cleaned. It would have cost as much to have it cleaned as she paid for the rug! (Needless to say, she did it herself.) I say #1 is a good balance of light to help brighten the room and is also dark enough that any paw prints (or other marks) would be easily hidden until you can give it a thorough cleaning.

Can't wait to see what you pick! :D

Well, I like #3, and I see that everyone else does too. However, I can see that it might be a problem with muddy footprints. So I think I might go with #1.
Thanks for stopping by my blog!

I too like #3, but I also like number 1. I think it would hide paw prints better! Great rugs!

Hi Maya@C-C!

I think I need to convince my husband that it's not too big a job to remove the dark paneling!

Rug #3. I could just see the room you described and in my mind's eye that's the perfect carpet..., hope to see a picture once it's in there!

Hi Miz B!
Yes, the cleaning is a big consideration.

Hi Stephanie!
I really would like to get the paneling off of the walls. I think it would make a huge difference. The family room (with the paneling) is open to our dining area and I think it even darkens the dining area even though I have light yellow on the walls in there.
