Today doesn’t look any different. It is very different. An amazing woman in our community is gone. She died the day before Thanksgiving. She left a husband and three young children to mourn for her. She probably touched the lives of almost everyone in this town, no exaggeration. I have said that I don’t like to use the word hate, but that is how I feel about cancer. Today is very different.

I think HATE is appropriate for cancer. My mom has been in remission for 8 years now, but I tear up at the news of even complete strangers battling it. It is such a hurdle and life changing experience.
Sorry for you and your towns loss . . .

lmerie, I am the same way. Both of my parents died from cancer and it does tear at my heart when I hear of anyone battling it. Thank you.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I also agree…hate is a very fitting word for cancer. It deserves it, if nothing else does.
