First Snow! Sort of.

November 20th, 2008 · 4 Comments

My husband, my kids and I have a little bet going on the first snowfall.  We have all picked a date that we think the first ground covering snowfall with happen here.  The family member that gets closest to the actual date gets their choice of dinner, either home cooked or restaurant.  My daughter picked the earliest date, November 26th.  Somehow I think she’s going to be arguing her case that today’s snowfall counts!

Do you see the tiny bit of white?

I think the rest of us will be arguing that this is not a ground covering snow!

Actually, I’m kind of hoping that my daughter wins this bet.  The photos I’ve been seeing around the internet of new snow are making me look forward to it.  Remind me I said that when I’m shoveling!  Also, I’m not crazy about what I’m guessing my sons’ choices will be for dinner.  My youngest son would probably pick sushi, he loves it.  The rest of us don’t like it very much.  I definitely prefer my fish cooked!  My oldest son would most likely pick KFC.  I don’t mind the taste of it, but I feel so unhealthy after I eat it.  My husband and daughter feel the same way.  My youngest likes it.  I’m not sure what my girl would pick, but I don’t think it would be sushi or KFC.  So…come on snow!

Here’s Timmy looking into the neighbor’s yard.  It is a rental house and the last people that lived there had two dogs.  They moved out in the spring, but when I let Timmy outside he always heads to that fenceline first, just in case one of his old buddies is there!

What a great idea to best on snowfall. :) It’s so cute! I wonder what your daughter would choose for the dinner!

    Hi laura!

She really doesn’t have a favorite food so I don’t know! I’ve got my fingers crossed for her to win!

    Hi ELK!

There’s a chance of snow showers today. Maybe they will cover the ground!
