Post Halloween Yuckiness!

November 12th, 2008 · 8 Comments

I haven’t taken any black and white photos in the past few days and I couldn’t wait to get back to it today.  The problem is there is this other stuff I had to do today.  You know, stuff like making sure you have food for the kid’s lunches for the next two days, making sure you all have clean clothes for the next two days, your volunteer job, blah, blah, blah.  Life!  So while I was waiting for the bus to drop my kids off, I looked for something interesting to snap.  I picked a few things in the house and those photos were all duds!  Outside?  I got these shots.  I kind of like them.  They’re kind of yucky!

See the teeth marks around the edge?  This used to be a complete jack-o-lantern!

Yipes! This used to be a happy face!

So, kinda cool, kinda yucky!  Make sure you go and check out some more great black and white shots here!

Thank you for visiting my site, Gayle! Ah, the day after — holidays. Always makes me a little sad. But time must move on. You’ve captured that moment well with your decaying pumpkin!

I like how those turned out. B&W was a good choice…otherwise the yuck factor may have been too overwhelming! :)

    Hi lmerie!

    Thanks!

    Hi fearlessmom!

Yes, and we’d better get them into the woods before we have to use a shovel to carry them!

    Hi d at qdm!

The yuck factor is definitely worse in living color!

Hi, you are right kinda of yucky – not your photography the subject but it works well in black and white. Poor little jack-o-lantern.
