I made another crochet monkey for my daughter and I tested my pattern out. I didn’t find any errors, but I did change something, and I think the monkey looks better with this change.
On the instructions for the Head, Number 7 is changed, and Number 8 is eliminated. These changes make the neck less skinny and I like the look better!
Head
-
With color B, chain 2.
-
6 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Mark first st for beginning of round and move marker up for each round.
-
2 sc in each sc around – 12 sc.
-
*2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc* around - 18 sc
-
sc around for three rounds – 18 sc each round.
-
*sc dec, sc* around – 12 sc
-
sc dec around – 6 sc Instead I did *sc dec, sc* around – 8 sc
-
*2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc* around - 8 sc Eliminate this row. It is not necessary with change.
-
At end of last round work a slip stitch and finish off leaving a long tail for sewing onto body during assembly.
-
I stuff head later, after sewing on snout.
